In 2004 a French photographer named Guillaume Herbert, went to go live in the Ukrainian forest with a tribe of female warriors called The “Asgarda” that he met during the Orange Revolution. The finished product was called “The Return of the Amazons” and it showed a series of photos of women of varying ages as young as 14 wearing a mix of modern, sporty and traditional clothes as well as some warrior-like leather costumes.
